The interface specification sets out the basic requirements pertaining to aeronautical stations of the aeronautical mobile service (AM radiotelephone equipment) in the 17.975-137 MHz frequency band in accordance with § 3(2) and (3) of the Act on radio and telecommunications terminal equipment [FTEG].

This interface specification replaces SSB FL 004, September 2005 edition, notified under No 2004/0470/D.
