Order on the characteristics of hydrogen used as an energy source for transportation

The draft order defines the characteristics of:

- hydrogen used as an energy source for transportation,

- refuelling points, including the filling equipment and algorithms),

- vehicle connectors.

Certain technical characteristics defined in this draft order make reference to NF EN ISO and ISO standards, cited in Directive 2014/94/EU on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure.

This order is signed by the Director-General for Energy and Climate. Since hydrogen is a non-taxable energy source, it need not be signed by the Directorate-General for Customs and Indirect Taxation [DGDDI].
