Plant protection products

Draft Regulation on the conditions and procedures for the manufacture, marketing, trading, repackaging, transportation and storage of plant protection products.

This draft Regulation sets out the conditions and procedures under which plant protection products may be manufactured, marketed, traded, repackaged, transported and stored. In particular, the draft specifies the conditions and procedures for issuing certificates to trade in plant protection products, the requirements that must be met by premises where plant protection products are traded and the record-keeping requirements of such sites.

It sets out the requirements that holders of permits to conduct parallel trade in plant protection products must meet, the notifications that they need to submit to the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency and the type of packaging and labelling required for products authorised for parallel trading.

The draft Regulation sets out the requirements that must be met by premises and persons that repackage plant protection products and the requirements for transporting such products. It sets out the types of premises where plant protection products may be stored and the requirements they must meet.

The supplementary provisions of the draft give definitions of the terminology used to avoid any ambiguity in interpretation.
