Facilities for the production of renewable electricity, renewable gas, renewable heat and co-generation of renewable electricity and renewable heat

Order No WJZ / of the Minister for Economic Affairs of [date] designating categories of production facilities for the promotion of sustainable energy production in spring 2017 (2017 Order designating sustainable energy production categories)

Pursuant to the 2015 Order designating sustainable energy production categories, subsidy applications may be submitted for production facilities for the production of renewable energy. The Order contains technical provisions regarding the nature and capacity of the production facilities and the maximum number of full-load hours. The provisions concerning the maximum number of full-load hours are included as a means to maximise the subsidy amount to be received by each recipient and thus be able to determine the maximum budget claim, as subsidy applicants can themselves determine the other aspects of the subsidy.

No mutual recognition clause has been included. This is unnecessary because subsidy recipients are free to choose a manufacturer of a production facility.

Orders that are very similar to this one in terms of technical provisions have been notified in the past: the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Orders designating sustainable energy production categories (see Notification Nos 2009/0657/NL, 2011/0237/NL, 2012/0066/NL, 2013/0050/NL and 2014/038/NL).
