The grant scheme will support the uptake of ultra-low emission vehicles in the UK by providing funding for workplace charging units.

Workplace Charging Scheme

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) will provide a minimum of £7.5 of grant funding over four years (November 2016 - March 2020). This scheme provides £300 per socket up to a maximum of 20 to eligible UK workplaces who can declare a current or future need for EV charging infrastructure for their staff or fleet use.The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) authorises entrants into the market to install chargepoints in both residential and business properties to ensure UK electrical installation standards are met. OLEV also approves chargepoints that can be installed under the scheme which are assessed by a panel of experts.
