Royal Decree amending the Royal Decree dated 14 November 2003 on self-checking, obligatory notification and traceability in the food chain

The main amendments to this draft decree pertain to:- the option for the FAVV to impose validation of the self-checking system on request from the sector;- the option for the FAVV to impose validation of the self-checking system within the framework of exporting;- the option for the FAVV to suspend validation of the self-checking system;- the contractual obligation of operators with foreign laboratories to ensure full disclosure to the FAVV;- the option for the FAVV to refuse, suspend or withdraw accreditation of a certification body, in addition to expiry of the automatic accreditation;- the option for the FAVV to grant certification bodies access to certain data on operators active in the food chain;- an update of the applicable accreditation standards;- alignment with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market and repealing Council Directives 79/117/EEC and 91/414/EEC.
